It has been recognized as an ideal material for grinding core in salt and pepper grinder for kitchen/restaurant/hotel applications. Because of ceramic gears' outstanding features, they make the service life of salt and pepper grinders more longer than plastic or stainless steel core ones.
In order to reach different customers' different needs with respect to cost, properties, we have developed some different grades of raw material for ceramic gear, including 85% alumina, 95% alumina, steatite. 95% alumina is the best option among them with the highest toughness, hardness, and wear-resistance, but the cost is a little bit higher than other twos. Regarding 85% alumina and steatite ceramic gear have a better wear resistance than stainless steel core too, but it's very cost-effective, especially for very high volume production.
