The grinding core of salt/pepper/spice mill mechanism is made from 96% alumina ceramic, which is famous for its exceptional wear resistance, hardness, eco-friendly and anti-chemical characteristics. So it can grind rocky salt, peppercorns and a variety of spices. Even if the ceramic salt mill mechanism works for ages, it can works very well without any rusty because it doesn't have any wore out for ceramic grinding core.
